Adobe CS3 much cheaper in the U.S.

This post by Nigel Moore just saved me over $500. I was going to drop €849.00 on Adobe’s Creative Suite 3 Design Premium update, but I can get it from the U.S. for $599.00 instead. I knew the EU price would be a bit more, but 89% more? That’s just wrong. (Via DF)

I actually contact Adobe about this atrocity, they basically said it's due to two reasons: higher cost of developing for other (than US) markets. Does localization really cost this much (UK version is the same English than than the US version? The second reason is higher support and warranty cost in other markets. Pretty bad from Adobe in my opinion. But what can we do, it's not like we can vote with our feet..
